Never look at food as the enemy. Healthy/clean eating is beneficial in many ways. There are many ways around to change or switch up the certain foods you eat and still enjoy them without feeling guilty!
Once again, never look at food as the enemy. Changing and cleaning up your eating habits can be beneficial for you in the long run. Such as improved health, energy levels, and helps and aides in weight management. It is easy to replace foods with healthier options. Replace sugary sodas with zero sugar drinks or water, replace sweets with fruit, and remember to at least drink a gallon of water per day, if not a full gallon a half gallon is a start and work your way up. Also, one bad meal will not ruin your progress, do not think negatively if that happens. Keep a positive mind set and keep on striving for excellence!
When it comes to the fitness or exercising always have a plan set out before you do so. Exercise at least 3-5 times a week 3 times minimal. Stretching before exercising can help increase the blood flow in your body and loosen up the muscles and joints before the workout and reduce the risk of injury. Never go into a workout empty minded, have a set plan on what muscle group you choose to work that day and follow suit. Never be ashamed of anything, everyone has a starting point, keep striving and keep progressing!
Bulking: Now you ask what is bulking? Bulking is when you are in the muscle gaining phase of your training. You are consuming/intaking more calories than usual. There are two types of bulking, clean bulking and dirty bulking. Dirty bulking is just eating as much food as possible that just pack and add on to the calories. Clean bulking is when you are consuming a high surplus of caloric food while eating clean in the process. When bulking it is best to do the cardio after the workout rather than before in order to keep the muscle.
Cutting: You may also ask what is cutting? Cutting is when you are in a calorie deficit, losing body fat while maintaining the muscle mass in the process. While on a cut, the training intensity changes and is not the same as if you are bulking. During the cutting phase to lose the weight/body fat. Take your current weight and multiply that by 10 and the number you get is the amount of calories you need to stay at or better yet under. During a cut eat high dense low calorie food that fills you up so you do not over eat and lost progression. A food scale can help and be beneficial with things like this. Many apps can help with the calorie counting. They will help in the long run.
When it comes to the protein and supplements find the ones that best work for you. Creatine is a safe supplement you can take that can help you build the muscle that you need. There are two types of creatine, HCL and Monohydrate. Both of them work the same it is just up to your choice and preference. Protein shakes can be used as meal replacements always keep that in mind. Always at the end of the day, look into the supplements and proteins that you are taking and that they are good and beneficial towards your body.
Exercising is only a small step into something bigger. The proper nutrition and recovery afterwards is the biggest part of it. Make sure you are getting enough daily protein in your diet and getting enough water as well. Water is good for the body as the body is mainly made up of water and keeps the organs functioning. Make sure you are getting enough rest, at least 6-8 hours of sleep per night. Motivation is hard but keeping a positive attitude will always keep you motivated! Never give up, keep your head up, and maintain a positive attitude. Never lose sight of when and where you started. Give it your all and always strive to be the best you can be.
